Progress over time

This page describes how to extract useful information to monitor and troubleshoot your jobs using the job status visuals.

The job status visualizations deliver immediate insight into the performance of your job, enabling you to discover unwanted spikes, falls, or errors in your events.

Customize the time span

You can use the Lifetime button to set the time span of this view. Choose the pre-set options, such as Last 30 minutes, or Last 12 hours to set the view, or use the calendar to select the start date and time, and the end date and time.

Delay

The Delay chart visually displays delays in writing to storage, reading from the source data, and parsing the data for your job. Depending on the job type, you may see only one of these options:

Handled Events

The Handled Events chart displays write to storage, data ingestion, and parsed data over the time period selected in the date picker:

Cluster Utilization

The CPU utilization of the cluster. The chart visualizes how much of the server's processing capacity is currently in use, and includes the current job:

Errors Over Time

This visual shows the number of errors that occurred during the selected time period:

Error Details

This table provides you with a view of the errors encountered by the job. Click on an item to see the associated error message, and use the view picker to switch between Unresolved Errors, Resolved Errors, and Show All:

Parse Errors Over Time

The number of parse errors that occurred over the time frame, based on the time picker:

Parsing Errors Details

This table provides details on the files that have raised a parsing error. Click on a file to view the error, or click the Download All Errors button to export the list to a CSV file.
